SHUKI OKAMOTO
Shuki Okamoto was a samurai of the Odawara clan and continued his creative activities as an artist along with fellow artists Kazan Watanabe and Keisa Onishi i. During the Koka period, the thirteenth generation head of the family, Binkou, requested Shuki to stay and create fusuma and byobu paintings when he established his residence, Tekisuiken, along the Mito Highway. This is the origin of the Tekisuiken Collection. Enjoy the flowers and creatures depicted by Shuki.
